Find who I am
In my years of being a portrait photographer I hear women say all the time they feel they have lost who they were. Amidst motherhood, work/home life, business and other daily tasks they often put themselves dead last.
I get it, I’m one of those who totally lost who I was and had this crazy idea of what I should be once I became a mom. Let’s face it, society wants us to be that perfect employee, perfect mother, etc and has a specific ideal of those roles. Often our sensuality and essence is buried deep and ya know, it is damn hard to raise it from the dead.
That is when these women and myself go in search for something to make them feel like the person they once were.
Often these sessions are the catalyst to shake stuff up and give them a glimpse of the person they once were. I have some insider information though. All you needed was a day, a day to yourself where you can be whoever, fell however you want. These sessions are a stepping stone to reclaim wo you once were and help you remember the essence of you.
I check back a month or two later and see how my past guests are doing after their session and I usually hear their confidence is higher, they have a more positive outlook of themselves and better yet they live more freely and unapologetically!
That is something I wish for everyone!
My heart could not be filled more by these proclamations and has become my driving force with this work. It is important and it is WAY more than just pictures!
